Pastor Paul has a passion for preaching and leading the church to become a fully supportive and unified body.
A follower of Jesus since age four, he graduated from United Wesleyan College in 1990, and has worked in church ministry professionally since 1985. Since 2011 he has had the honor of pastoring not only BCC, but also St. John’s E.C. Church in Bartonsville. In 2017 the Bishop of the E.C. Church appointed Paul as Field Director of the Northeast District of E.C. Church.
He also volunteers as Chaplain of the Bushkill Fire Company. In his spare time, he loves working with wood and enjoys creating projects and furniture in the woodshop at his home.
Paul and Lynda were married in 1987. They first served together in children and youth ministry in a church in Plymouth Meeting, PA, where each of their four daughters were born.
In 1996 they moved to the Poconos. After three years working in a Presbyterian church, they responded to the call of God to plant a new church in Bushkill, which
Paul and Lynda were married in 1987. They first served together in children and youth ministry in a church in Plymouth Meeting, PA, where each of their four daughters were born.
In 1996 they moved to the Poconos. After three years working in a Presbyterian church, they responded to the call of God to plant a new church in Bushkill, which opened formally in 2001.
They work as a team, alongside other church leaders, to develop and enhance a healthy church environment. Their daughters are each happily married, and Paul and Lynda are very proud of their three granddaughters.
Lynda has a very welcoming heart and a warm smile. Professionally, she teaches science at East Stroudsburg North High School.
At BCC, she loves to sing and leads the church Praise Team. She also leads Ladies Latte and teaches the children Sunday morning.
Perhaps her greatest passion is her understanding of the needs in our community and she applies her hard-working character to helping the church to meet those needs. She also is a creative and gifted artist. She loves to relax at home with a book and play with her dog, Penny.
Salvation from sin and the promise of eternal life comes only from faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who defeated the power of sin by His death on the cross, and proved His power over death He by rising from the grave. We will proclaim this message of hope from the Word of God.
Romans 10:8-10
Family is very important to God. Every believer needs to live for Christ in his or her home, putting Christ in the center of their family relationships. We will come along side couples to make and maintain healthy marriages and along side parents to train them to train their own children, and teach how the principles of the Word of God apply to every family.
Mark 5:19
The message of salvation through Christ is for all people. His message of hope needs to be shared, in love, with all who will listen. As His ambassadors, we will actively demonstrate His love to our neighbors by meeting community needs, through serving others, and by building intentional relationships as we live and work among them.
Romans 13:9-10
We will worship Jesus Christ the Son of God, for only He is worthy of our praise. We will
worship with passion and relevance, using a variety of worship expressions to proclaim Him and His salvation within the context of our cultural environment.
1 Corinthians 9:22-23
The Bible is God’s message to mankind for salvation and for living a godly life. His Word is our trustworthy source to help reveal within ourselves the true source of our pain, and to find healing for our heart, mind, and soul. We will teach the basic truths and principles of the Word to all who are ready to listen. Our goal is to the practically apply the Word to our daily lives so that each believer continually grows in his/her faith.
2 Timothy 3:16 and Hebrews 4:12
We will support the mission of spreading gospel of hope worldwide with people, prayer, and resources. We will do our part to help to feed the world, clothe the world, and also share the Word with the world. We will also work together with neighboring churches to enhance a global mindset of all churches who seek to spread Christ’s message of eternal life for all who believe. Matthew 28:19-20
